Magenta Telekom, a privately owned telecommunications company founded in 1977 and headquartered in Austria, is Austria's second-largest provider of mobile and fixed-line services. Employing approximately 1100 people, the company generated over $1 billion in revenue in 2023. It is a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom.
Magenta Telekom announced a revenue increase of 2.5 percent in 2024, reaching EUR 1.50 billion. EBITDA before special items also increased by 3.2 percent to EUR 546 million, while investments in expanding the fiber-optic network rose by ten percent year-on-year to EUR 266 million. On April 1st, Anja Tretbar-Bustorf joined the Magenta Management Board as Chief Corporate Affairs Office, assuming responsibility for wholesale strategy, sustainability, legal, regulatory compliance, and external communications. A design update was also implemented, featuring a redesigned logo centered around the iconic "T," while the brand name remains unchanged. Separately, Deutsche Telekom extended CEO Tim Höttges’ contract until the end of 2028.
