Solid State Logic, also known as SSL, is a privately owned company headquartered in the UK, operating as a subsidiary of Audiotonix. Founded in 1969, with approximately 140 employees, the company is also classified as a tier 2 media tech buyer and reported $45.7M in revenue as of 2024. The company functions as a designer and manufacturer of mixing consoles and recording studio systems.
On April 2, 2026, long-standing SSL user Wayne Sargeant utilized an SSL system in a compact flypack format for mixing electronic music at Calvin Harris' Ushuaïa Ibiza residency, addressing the need for SSL’s signature sound quality in a demanding live environment. Earlier on April 2, SSL partnered with sonible to release "The Synergy Pack," a collaborative product. On March 31, electronic musician Richard Devine integrated SSL’s UF8 and UC1 controllers with 360° Software into his creative workflows, allowing him to manage projects with over 100 channels and benefit from visual feedback. Previously, Solid State Logic announced it enhanced its virtualized System T platform and will demonstrate it at the NAB Show 2026. The company will preview its TCA Flypack Tour bundle and Version 4.3 System T software, along with new features for System T Cloud, including a compact DSP pack, NDI and Dante connectivity, and an updated licensing model, enabling users to run multiple software-based engines on one hardware server or spin up entire broadcast productions.
