On March 9, 2026, Speedcast received a patent grant from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for technologies designed to overlay on its Speedcast SIGMA™ intelligent edge network management platform, aiming to improve remote site connectivity. Previously on the same day, Speedcast partnered with Antamedia to integrate its Enterprise WiFi Hotspot and Digital Guide Hospitality software into the latest release of Speedcast’s SIGMA™ platform. Earlier, Marella Cruises partnered with Speedcast to implement Eutelsat Group’s OneWeb LEO technology across its entire fleet of ships, deploying OneWeb’s maritime connectivity service alongside the existing Starlink service. This followed Speedcast's integration and deployment of Starlink’s Global High Throughput Service (HTS) for offshore energy customer COSL Drilling Europe, marking nearly a decade of partnership between the two companies.
