The Buchi Babu Multi-Day Tournament, organized by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), will begin on August 18, 2025. The Maharashtra Cricket Association announced its squad for the tournament, which will include three 3-day league stage matches. On Wednesday, the TNCA stated that the Siechem Madurai Panthers withdrew ball-tampering allegations against R Ashwin and the Dindigul Dragons. Following a TNCA investigation, Ashwin and the Dindigul Dragons received formal clearance from ball-tampering allegations. TNCA President P Ashok Sigamani praised the performances of Gujarat Titans' players Sai Sudharsan, Washington Sundar, Shah Rukh Khan, and Sai Kishore in their IPL Eliminator-1 match against the Mumbai Indians.
