On April 24, calls between Ufone Telenor Pakistan and Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) now count as on-net minutes across all bundles, following PTCL’s acquisition of Telenor Pakistan, a development aimed at enhancing customer convenience in Pakistan's telecom sector. Earlier on April 23, Skanska finalized a 10-year lease agreement with Telenor. Also on April 23, Telenor Pakistan introduced Kissan Dost Bashir, the country's first AI-powered conversational agriculture voice bot, via its digital agriculture platform Khushaal Watan, marking a step towards providing farmers with intelligent, accessible, and real-time digital advisory. Previously, on April 22, Telenor Group’s Bangladeshi subsidiary, Grameenphone, reported a decline in first-quarter 2026 service revenues, falling to NOK 2847 million from NOK 3315 million a year earlier, with adjusted EBITDA decreasing to NOK 1724 million and operating profit slipping to NOK 1027 million; however, the company did add subscribers in Bangladesh.
