Telenor Norway introduced 'Sikre' security subscriptions on March 13, 2026, to protect private customers using its mobile network and home broadband, noting a survey indicated that seven out of ten Norwegians are concerned about digital safeguarding. Earlier on the same day, Telenor discussed its new sovereign AI Factory at MWC 2026 in Barcelona, an initiative aimed at giving Norway control over the country's critical data. This followed Telenor's completion of the first tranche of its True Corporation divestment on March 13, which saw the sale of a 24.95% stake to Arise Digital Technology for a total consideration of THB 100.9 billion, netting Telenor approximately NOK 30 billion.
