Telia Estonia, also known as Telia Eesti, is a privately owned company headquartered in Estonia, operating as a subsidiary of Telia Company. Founded in 1993, the company reported $389.0M in revenue as of 2024. The company specializes in telecoms, functioning as a tier 1 media tech buyer. Originally an Estonian telecommunication company known as AS Eesti Telekom, TeliaSonera and the Estonian government reached a deal over the sale of Eesti Telekom in September 2009, and the company officially switched its name to Telia Eesti on January 20, 2016.
Telia was involved in providing telecommunications services across several regions in Estonia, including Kesk-Eesti, Kirde-Eesti, Lääne-Eesti, Lõuna-Eesti, and Põhja-Eesti, under a negotiated procedure, as indicated by a TED v2 viewer result on January 20, 2026. This followed the termination of a project on June 9, 2025, when Ortivus and the Estonian Health Insurance Fund (Tervisekassa) reached an agreement to end their collaboration. In that project, Telia Eesti AS was developing a SaaS-based solution, including MobiMed ePR, for Estonia’s national ambulance fleet. Previously, on June 3, 2025, Telia Eesti AS acquired the Estonian software company Iglu OÜ, an acquisition advised by the Ellex team, to strengthen Telia Eesti AS’s position as an IT partner for major corporations in Estonia.
