Orange Poland and Polkomtel has won a tender on providing GPRS services for power meters at energy company Enea. Orange Poland won three lots under a contract worth PLN 5.271 million, and the operator will provide service for 105,500 SIMs. Polkomtel won two lots, worth PLN 3.58 million and covering 120,000 SIMs. The contracts are valid until 2030.

Orange Poland deploys 42 base stations in Q1, expands 5G coverage

Orange Poland deployed 42 new base stations in the first quarter of this year. The operator said this takes it to a total of 12,713 base stations across the country. The operator also upgraded 113 base stations to provide 5G services on the C band. 5G services from Orange were available at 4,600 sites at the end of March, and Orange plans to raise this to 5,600 sites by the end of this year.
