PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, also known as Telkom, is a state-owned information and communications technology enterprise and telecommunications network headquartered in Indonesia. Founded in 1965, the company has approximately 17,800 employees and reported $8.9B in revenue as of 2025. It primarily offers fixed line broadband and television services to homes and businesses in Indonesia. The company also serves as the parent company of the Indonesian mobile phone operator Telkomsel. The Government of Indonesia maintains a majority shareholding of 52%. Telkom’s shares are traded on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) under the ticker “TLKM” and on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) as “TLK”.
On July 21, 2026, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), an operating unit within TelkomGroup Nongsa Digital Park, and BW Digital strengthened Indonesia's digital gateway through a strategic collaboration on the NCC Submarine Cable System. This initiative aims to reinforce Batam's position as a digital hub connecting Indonesia and Singapore to global markets. Previously, on July 7, 2026, Telkom launched its "Bisa Biru Program" to restore coral reefs on Buru Island, Maluku. This program addressed urgent attention needed for marine ecosystems, after 2025 Mongabay data indicated coral reef cover on Buru Island averaged only 24.79%, falling into the "poor" category under the Decree of the Minister of Environment.
