PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, also known as Telkom, is a state-owned information and communications technology enterprise and telecommunications network headquartered in Indonesia. Founded in 1965, the company has approximately 17,800 employees and reported $8.9B in revenue as of 2025. It primarily offers fixed line broadband and television services to homes and businesses in Indonesia. The company also serves as the parent company of the Indonesian mobile phone operator Telkomsel. The Government of Indonesia maintains a majority shareholding of 52%. Telkom’s shares are traded on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) under the ticker “TLKM” and on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) as “TLK”.
Telkom Indonesia announced on August 7, 2026, its plan to transfer a second phase of its wholesale fibre connectivity business to its subsidiary, Telkom Infrastruktur Indonesia. This phase values the assets at 49.858 trillion rupiah ($2.8 billion). This follows an August 5, 2026, report that PT Telkom Infrastruktur Indonesia, known as InfraNexia, showed a significant surge in revenue from customers outside the TelkomGroup ecosystem. This increase occurred six months after the effective transfer of its wholesale fiber connectivity business and assets on January 1, 2026. Earlier on August 5, 2026, Telkom Indonesia also stated its intention to pursue six more divestments by the end of 2026 as part of its ongoing business streamlining program.
