Tokyo Disney Resort, owned by the Oriental Land Company, is a large entertainment complex located in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan. It consists of two theme parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, as well as several hotels and a shopping complex. Tokyo Disneyland, which opened in 1983, holds the distinction of being the first Disney theme park to be built outside of the United States.
