Universal Studios Japan is a theme park located in Osaka, Japan. It is owned and operated by USJ LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NBCUniversal. The park opened on March 31, 2001, and is one of six Universal Studios theme parks worldwide. It was the first Universal Studios theme park to open outside the United States. The park features attractions based on popular films and television series, including Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, and Transformers. Universal Studios Japan is one of the most popular theme parks in Japan, and it attracts millions of visitors each year. The park has a staff of 550 employees.
