TV Chosun is a privately owned South Korean broadcasting company, headquartered at 40 Sejong-daero 21-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul. Founded in 2011, the company employs approximately 100 individuals and reported $2.8M in revenue as of 2023. Functioning as a tier 3 media tech buyer, its main product offerings include broadcast television and radio, operating as a pay television network. The company is owned by the Chosun Ilbo-led consortium and began broadcasting on December 1, 2011.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor concluded its labor supervision on six major terrestrial and general programming channel broadcasters, including TV Chosun, on January 21, 2026, finding misuse of freelancers and recognizing worker status for over 200 individuals, including PDs and writers. This development followed the case of the late Oh Yo-anna. Earlier, on January 20, the Ministry's supervision, which commenced after the death of weather forecaster Oh Yo-anna, uncovered chronic practices in the broadcasting industry's freelance workforce management. The findings indicated that approximately one-third of broadcasting freelancers were converted to employee status. The Ministry had announced these results of its labor supervision on terrestrial and comprehensive programming channels earlier that day.
