The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), a privately owned organization founded in 1949 and headquartered in Kuwait, governs sports across Asia. As of 2023, it employs approximately 10 people and oversees 45 member National Olympic Committees. The OCA's primary function is the organization and administration of the Asian Games and Asian Beach Games.
The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA)-Olympic Solidarity (OS) Regional Forum 2025 took place in Thimphu, Bhutan, on April 2-3, 2025. On April 2, 2025, organizers presented preparations for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, scheduled for September 19 to October 4, 2026. Also on April 2, 2025, the selection of four Bhutanese schoolchildren's artwork for exhibition at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games was announced. A March 27, 2025, meeting of the Philippine Olympic Committee's Executive Board included discussions on the World Games in Chengdu, China (August 2025), the OCA’s 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain (October 2025), and the SEA Games in Thailand (December 2025). A separate meeting on March 27, 2025, in Vientiane, Laos, involved the National Olympic Committee of Laos and national sports federations to discuss preparations for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand in December 2025.
