All Elite Wrestling, also known as AEW, is a privately owned professional wrestling promotion headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, with its operations based at EverBank Stadium. Founded in 2019, the company operates with approximately 80 employees and reported $23.7M in revenue as of 2023, functioning as a tier 2 media tech buyer. It is owned by the father and son duo Shahid and Tony Khan, with Tony Khan serving as president and chief executive officer. Since its inception, AEW has established itself as one of the largest professional wrestling promotions globally, ranking second only to WWE in terms of annual revenue.
On April 4, 2026, former AEW talent Jade Cargill stated that her "NXT was AEW" because her first match aired on television, contrasting her experience with WWE's Rhea Ripley, who she said had the backing of the "WWE machine." Cargill also indicated that a potential match with Ripley ultimately came down to money and named Charlotte Flair as her preferred WrestleMania opponent. On April 2, Ricky Saints, known as Ricky Starks during his AEW tenure, addressed his lengthy absence from the promotion before his 2025 move to WWE, noting he disappeared from AEW after a March 2024 loss on Collision despite his popularity. Earlier on April 2, AEW presented a special Thursday night Collision from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, focusing on championship matches, including Will Ospreay attacking Jon Moxley to earn a title shot and the return of Hurt Syndicate. Also on April 2, reports indicated that Thunder Rosa is expected to sign a dual contract with AEW and CMLL, which would make her the second AEW talent, following Claudio Castagnoli, to hold such a contract.
