All Elite Wrestling, also known as AEW, is a privately owned professional wrestling promotion headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, with its operations based at EverBank Stadium. Founded in 2019, the company operates with approximately 80 employees and reported $23.7M in revenue as of 2023, functioning as a tier 2 media tech buyer. It is owned by the father and son duo Shahid and Tony Khan, with Tony Khan serving as president and chief executive officer. Since its inception, AEW has established itself as one of the largest professional wrestling promotions globally, ranking second only to WWE in terms of annual revenue.
On June 25, 2026, AEW CEO Tony Khan stated that work visa and logistical issues caused changes to the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event, specifically noting that AEW National Champion Mark Davis and Gabe Kidd are currently addressing visa renewal concerns but are expected to return soon. Earlier that day, Khan addressed NJPW's recent ownership changes, where Bushiroad transferred its shares to TV Asahi and CyberAgent in late May, expressing his expectation for the working relationship between the two promotions to remain strong ahead of Forbidden Door. Khan also discussed the 2026 FIFA World Cup, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and its impact on AEW operations and Fulham players' performances. Previously, on June 25, sources reported that Jungle Jack Perry's contract with AEW is nearing expiration, and while talks for a new deal are underway, Perry had not yet signed as of Thursday morning.
