On June 16, 2026, Oxford speedway rider Ashton Vale became the first competitor since Andy Phillips in 1988 to win an ACU British Grasstrack Championship double title. Previously, on June 12, the Trials Standing Regulations were updated to clarify technical control requirements and the power output for electric machines, aiming to provide a clear and consistent approach as electric machines develop within Trials competition. This followed the June 11 announcement that Classic Sidecars would race at the 2026 Southern 100 Races in July, an initiative green-lit after an overwhelming response from competitors and approval from the sport's governing body, the Auto-Cycle Union.
