Avatel acquires regional Spanish operator Wiber for EUR 13 mln

Spanish telecommunications provider Avatel Telecom has acquired Andalucian operator Wiber, which owns 30,000 broadband and mobile lines in the provinces of Granada, Almeria and Seville, for a total of EUR 12.8 million, according to sources cited by El Economista. The deal comes after Avatel spent around EUR 650 mln to acquire over 150 small regional operators over the last four years.
