Balgarska Nacionalna Televiizija, also known as BNT, Bulgarian National Television, is a state-owned entity headquartered in Bulgaria. On August 20, 2026, Burgas entered the operational phase of preparations for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, with the state allocating approximately 20 million euros for work this year and a test concert planned before the end of 2026. Concurrently, Sofia Municipality sent an official letter to Bulgarian National Television (BNT) Director General Milena Milotinova, requesting detailed feedback on the assessment of Sofia's bid to host the Eurovision 2027. This followed the official announcement on August 13, 2026, by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and BNT, revealing Burgas as the host city for the 71st Eurovision Song Contest. The Black Sea city will welcome artists, delegations, fans, and journalists for three live shows scheduled for May 11, 13, and the final on May 15, 2027.
