Banglalink is a privately owned company headquartered in Bangladesh. It is a subsidiary of VEON. Founded in 2005, it employs approximately 5,190 people and operates as a telecommunications provider in Bangladesh.
Banglalink, a VEON-owned telecommunications company, received a Payment Service Provider (PSP) licence from Bangladesh Bank, the country's central bank, paving the way for its entry into the digital payments market. The central bank formally granted the licence on August 11, 2026, to Banglalink's subsidiary, NEO PSP Limited, under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act 2024. Banglalink announced the approval on August 12, confirming plans to launch its digital payment services under the brand Mukto Pay, targeting a commercial launch in September 2026. Previously, on August 9, Banglalink partnered with Buro Bangladesh, a microfinance institution, to provide connectivity and enterprise digital solutions. Earlier, on August 8, Banglalink distributed over 12,000 raincoats to rickshaw and van pullers across 10 city corporations during the monsoon season.
