VEON Ltd. announced on April 24, 2026, that its Bangladesh subsidiary, Banglalink, signed an agreement with Starlink Mobile. This partnership aims to integrate Starlink’s direct-to-device satellite connectivity in remote areas with Banglalink’s existing terrestrial coverage across Bangladesh. Banglalink plans to launch messaging services in 2026, followed by data services, subject to regulatory approvals. The collaboration marks Bangladesh's first satellite-to-mobile service, intending to extend network coverage to remote and underserved regions.
