On September 10, 2026, ClickHouse introduced WalShadow, an open-source engine designed for sub-second replication of Postgres data to ClickHouse directly from physical WAL, demonstrating transaction visibility in approximately 200 milliseconds and sustaining 289,000 rows per second. On the same day, ClickHouse became a launch partner for OpenAI's new Data agent within ChatGPT Work, which offers agentic dashboards, expanded admin controls, and improved data connections, utilizing the ClickHouse Remote MCP server to link ClickHouse with various developer and business tools. Earlier on September 10, the company also announced the private preview of On-Demand Compute, a new ClickHouse Cloud infrastructure capability that allows services to execute queries on a shared pool of ClickHouse workers independent of their cluster's compute. Previously, on September 9, ClickHouse made its Managed Postgres service available in Private Preview on Google Cloud, extending the fully managed NVMe-backed Postgres service, which includes native CDC into ClickHouse and a unified query layer via pg_clickhouse, that it had launched on AWS earlier in the year.
