AJA Video Systems entered into an agreement to acquire Comprimato, a live video encoding and processing software provider for virtualized and cloud productions and broadcasts, on April 15, 2026. This follows Comprimato's earlier announcement on April 7, 2026, that it would demonstrate virtualized ST-2110 deployments at NAB Show 2026. The company intended to showcase how broadcasters could run professional IP video workflows in VM-based on-premises and private cloud environments using its Twenty-One Encoder, building on an earlier February 24, 2026, announcement that it would bring "All-in-one software encoding & transcoding" to the same event. Previously, on December 8, 2025, Comprimato released its v1.18 software update, enhancing its live video products with runtime destination control, higher performance, and improved interoperability for ST 2110 workflows.
