Earlier the same day, Costco joined over 30 other Seattle-area corporate leaders, including Microsoft, Starbucks, and Alaska Airlines, in issuing a joint letter to Mayor Katie Wilson and the City Council. The letter urged the adoption of a concrete 100-day public safety action plan, demanding measurable results, transparent progress reporting, and budget allocations to protect public safety investments. The leaders also advocated for restoring surveillance cameras in high-event areas and establishing clear benchmarks for police response times.
