The English Football League (EFL) is a professional soccer league in England and Wales. Founded in 1888, it is the oldest professional soccer league in the world. The EFL is made up of 72 clubs divided into three divisions: the Championship, League One, and League Two. The league is responsible for organizing and overseeing these divisions, as well as the EFL Cup and EFL Trophy. The EFL is headquartered in the UK and has a staff of around 170 people. In 2023, the league generated approximately $250 million in revenue.
