Football Association of Ireland, also known as FAI, a privately owned entity headquartered in Ireland and founded in 1921, operates in the spectator sports sector as a tier 1 media tech buyer, employing approximately 700 individuals. The organization functions as the governing body for association football in the Republic of Ireland, controlling the activities of all Ireland's international football teams. It is affiliated with FIFA and, through its own affiliated bodies, also organizes all domestic competitions.
