Established in its current form in 2015 following a structural corporate division of the legacy Radio y Televisión de Guatemala (RTVG) network, the company specializes in broadcast television and radio, functioning as a private commercial media conglomerate that consolidates the nation's principal free-to-air television stations under a unified administrative and advertising management structure. Headquartered in Guatemala City, Grupo Chapín TV directs five major national television properties: Canal 3, Canal 7 (Televisiete), Canal 11 (Teleonce), Canal 13 (Trecevisión), and the 24-hour news station TN23. Through its central digital distribution portal, the network distributes live streams, entertainment content, and synchronized news bulletins sourced from its centralized news division, Telecentro, to both local audiences and the Guatemalan diaspora.
