Founded in 1995 and operating with approximately 350 employees, the company specializes in broadcast television and radio, functioning as a tier 1 media tech buyer and reporting to parent companies Sky Group, A+E Global Media, and Hearst Communications. Operating across the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Hearst Networks EMEA is fully owned by Hearst and comprises four distinct entities: Hearst Networks UK, which operates as a joint venture with Sky across the UK, Nordics, Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; alongside the wholly owned entities of Hearst Networks Germany, Hearst Networks Italia, and COSMO Spain.
