Ho Chi Minh City Television

Ho Chi Minh City Television, also known as HTVC and HTV, is a State Owned entity headquartered in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Established on 1 May 1975 under the ownership of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the company operates as a vertically integrated mass media television studio and public broadcasting corporation with approximately 100 employees. As a tier 1 media tech buyer, it functions as the dominant regional broadcaster in southern Vietnam and the country's second-largest state-run media network behind Vietnam Television (VTV), under the executive leadership of General Director Cao Anh Minh. The enterprise emerged through the reconstitution of the former Republic of Vietnam's THVN9 station following the Fall of Saigon and commands an extensive proprietary intellectual property repository spanning over five decades of regional documentation, television journalism, and domestic entertainment. Its public broadcasting catalogue and multi-channel franchise library are spearheaded by flagship properties including the nightly current affairs bulletin 60 Giây (60 Seconds), the cultural music bridge Thay Lời Muốn Nói, the HTV Cycling Tournament, and the Vầng Trăng Cổ Nhạc theatrical series, alongside localized adaptations of global formats such as Deal or No Deal, So You Think You Can Dance, and Odd One In.
