Ice Hockey Australia (IHA), a privately owned organization founded in 1908, is the governing body for ice hockey in Australia. The IHA oversees six state-level ice hockey associations and its primary activity is the administration and regulation of spectator ice hockey sports.

August 26, 2025, saw the announcement of Stuart Philps as the head coach of the National Men’s Team for the 2026 and 2027 IIHF World Championships. Finally, on September 18, 2025, IHA appointed Ainslie Gardner as the new Referee-in-Chief for the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League.
