The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is a privately owned American women's professional golf organization headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida. Founded in 1950, the LPGA is the oldest professional golf organization for women. It is one of the most successful women's professional sports leagues in the world, with over 2,300 members from more than 30 countries. The LPGA organizes and sanctions tournaments for women professional golfers, including the five major championships: the ANA Inspiration, the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, the U.S. Women's Open, the Women's British Open, and The Evian Championship. The LPGA also operates a development tour, the Epson Tour, and a qualifying school, the LPGA Q-Series. The LPGA has a staff of approximately 150 employees.
