Lightricks, a privately owned company headquartered in Israel, was founded in 2013 and employs approximately 560 individuals. Specializing in software development, the company develops video and image editing mobile applications, notably known for its selfie-editing app, Facetune.
Lightricks' open-source audio-video generation model, LTX-2.3, gained native support in ComfyUI on March 5, 2026. This latest evolution of the model delivered major quality improvements across fine details, portrait video, audio, image-to-video prompt understanding, and text rendering. Previously, on February 23, Lightricks, the creator of the Facetune app, revealed plans to split its consumer app business from its generative AI video platform, LTX. This restructuring, outlined in an internal memo seen by Reuters, aims to better position the company to capture growth in the artificial intelligence sector. Earlier, on February 9, the company introduced LTX 2.0 Pro, an AI video generator for creators.
