On October 1, 2025, United Ground Express (UGE) at Lincoln Airport (LNK) earned the Gold Safety Excellence Award, a significant milestone within United Airlines’ Safety Excellence program. LNK became only the second out of 174 regional line stations nationwide to achieve this level. Previously, on September 2, 2025, the Lincoln Airport Authority appointed Michael Griffin A.A.E. as its new Director of Operations & Maintenance. In this role, Griffin will oversee airfield operations, facility and grounds maintenance, emergency response, and security functions for the Lincoln Airport.
