This follows an April 15 report from the Agency for Electronic Communications (AEK) stating that North Macedonia's mobile phone subscribers increased 3.8% year-on-year to 1.99 million at the end of 2025, despite active mobile lines dropping from 2.10 million in the previous quarter. At year-end 2025, Makedonski Telekom held a 46.37% share of the mobile subscriber market, trailing A1 Makedonija’s 47.01%. Earlier, on April 2, Makedonski Telekom employees participated in a reforestation and forest restoration campaign in the Jasen National Park, an area affected by devastating fires in August 2025.
