Ministerio de Tecnologias de la Informacion y Comunicacion, also known as MITIC, is a State Owned entity headquartered in the Complejo Santos in Asunción, Paraguay. Established in 2018 under Law N° 6207 and employing approximately 170 individuals, the cabinet-level ministry governs public sector information technologies, digital transformation, and state media communications. The ministry was formed by dissolving and merging two previous secretariats, SENATICs (the national technology secretariat) and SICOM (the national information and communication secretariat). It functions as the technical authority and governing body for e-government architecture, digital inclusion, and national cybersecurity, concurrently managing the Executive Branch's institutional media broadcasts, public communication plans, and state-owned news platforms.
