News Summary:

On June 25, 2026, the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) adjusted the Friday qualifying schedule for the 20th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park, implementing an earlier start due to potential inclement weather to ensure all professional categories complete both scheduled sessions. Previously, on June 24, NHRA Nitro Driver Joe Morrison’s Right2Breathe® Project, in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic and NDD Medical BluZone Health, announced it would present the “Put Your Lungs on the Dyno” Lung Health Screening Project at the 2026 Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, located adjacent to the Kroger Health display. Also on June 24, a panel began deliberations to select the Top 50 Sportsman Racers for National Dragster, following a request from editor Phil Burgess approximately two months prior. Separately, Jack Beckman and the PEAK SQUAD, after securing an NHRA Funny Car 75th-anniversary diamond Wally, turned their attention to the June 26-28 Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio. Earlier that day, Brandon Bernstein’s Bernstein Partners announced it would join the Team RTR organization as Vice President of Operations for its NHRA Pro Stock program, effective July 1, supporting Australian driver Shane Tucker.
