National Media Group (NMG) celebrated its 18th anniversary on January 31, 2026, having grown from a 2008 merger of two television channels and one newspaper to become Russia's largest private media company. Previously, on January 27, 2026, Kabaeva received a 520 million ruble bonus for 2024, in addition to monthly payments of 450,000 rubles that extended into 2025. This bonus represents the third consecutive year of growth, following a 375 million ruble bonus in 2022. On January 21, 2026, the company was recognized among Russia's top 10 best employers by the HeadHunter.ru rating. Earlier in January, on January 11, 2026, its "First Channel" ranked third in audience size for 2025, attracting an average of 1.3 million Russian viewers aged 4 and over, according to Mediascope data. This follows NMG's December 5, 2025, signing of cooperation agreements with three major Indian media companies: the state-owned Prasar Bharati, the multimedia news agency Asian News International (ANI), and the TV9 Network.
