Naughty Dog is a privately owned American video game developer founded in 1984. Headquartered in Santa Monica, California, the company employs approximately 840 people. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Naughty Dog's primary business is the creation and development of computer games.
Naughty Dog released a special package for The Last of Us Part 2, in collaboration with PlayStation, that does not include the game itself. A $3000 bundle for The Last of Us Part 2, including Ellie's guitar, was also released. Separately, former Naughty Dog technical director Matt Puchala released a sneak peek of Axiom 4.0, an update to his GPU-accelerated sparse volumetric fluid solver. Finally, developers who worked on the cancelled The Last of Us Online project formed a new studio in Japan to develop a similar game.
