News Summary:

Brazilian telecom company Oi is preparing to sell its IT and connectivity division, Oi Solucoes, for an estimated BRL 1.4 billion, a move part of its ongoing efforts to pay down debt following judicial reorganization, according to a report on April 22, 2026. Previously, on March 10, 2026, S&P Global Ratings discontinued its ratings on Oi S.A., following its downgrade of the company to 'D' after Oi missed an interest payment on its 2026 senior secured notes that was due in January. Earlier, on January 29, 2026, the Public Ministry (MP) of the State of Rio de Janeiro defended that Oi S.A. should bear the cost of approximately R$ 53.9 million for the severance pay of 1,741 workers of Serede – Serviços de Rede S.A., a manifestation filed in the company's judicial recovery process. This followed Oi obtaining access to R$ 517.4 million on November 28, 2025, after reaching an agreement with the agency Anatel.
