S&P Global Ratings discontinued its ratings on Oi S.A. on March 10, 2026, following the agency's downgrade of the company to 'D' after Oi missed an interest payment on its 2026 senior secured notes due in January. Earlier, on January 29, 2026, the Public Ministry of the State of Rio de Janeiro defended that Oi should bear approximately R$ 53.9 million for the severance pay of 1,741 workers of Serede – Serviços de Rede S.A., a manifestation filed in the company's judicial recovery process. This followed Oi obtaining access to R$ 517.4 million on November 28, 2025, after an agreement with the agency Anatel. Previously, on November 26, 2025, Pacific Investment Management Company (Pimco) sold its entire stake in Oi S.A., with funds managed and advised by Pimco divesting all 64,811,440 common shares, representing 19.73% of the company’s total capital.
