As of 2023, it employs approximately 40 people and is headquartered in the Philippines. Its primary activity is the organization and oversight of rugby union spectator sports.
The Philippine Rugby Football Union (PRFU) announced the 12-player rosters for the Men’s and Women’s Rising Stars Teams, who will compete in the 2025 Southeast Asian (SEA) Sevens in Singapore on April 4-5. The Rising Stars program is a pathway to the national team, selecting players from the High-Performance Program 7s. Separately, the PRFU supported three participants—Enrico Barin, Dr. Felix Gaddi, and Dr. David Adamson—in the World Rugby Level 2 Immediate Care in Rugby (ICIR) Course in Jakarta, Indonesia. Finally, the Philippine Men’s Volcanoes will debut in the Unions Cup, a 15-a-side rugby competition, in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on July 9 and 12, 2025. The PRFU signed a Memorandum of Agreement to participate in the tournament's second edition.
