Previously, on April 11, HKCR announced its men's and women's sevens squads for the Melrose Claymores competition at the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2026, held from April 17-19. The squad reveal occurred before 1,200 spectators at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Sha Tin Racecourse.
