Puls 4, also known as ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4, is a privately owned Austrian company and a subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1 Media. Founded in 2004, it employs approximately 460 individuals and reported $54.0M in revenue as of 2024. It functions as a tier 2 media tech buyer. The company specializes in broadcast television and radio, operating as the largest private TV station group in Austria and organizing the four Austrian free TV programs: PULS 4, ATV, ATV II, and PULS 24. The station was taken over by the then ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG in August 2007. In April 2019, ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 acquired the ATV Group, which operates the two Austrian channels ATV and ATV 2. On September 1, 2019, the broadcasting group launched its fourth free TV channel, the 24/7 news channel PULS 24.
On February 2, 2026, the Puls 4 and ATV program "Farmer Seeks Woman" featured farmer Rupert creating conflict by refusing to speak with his farmhands, instead opting for a private meeting with Arabella. This development followed reports from February 1 that Puls 4 increased its market share by 22 percent to 4.9 percent in January, positioning it as the strongest Austrian private TV broadcaster. During the same period, ATV achieved a market share of 4.2 percent, marking a 6 percent increase, and emerged as the prime-time favorite among private TV broadcasters with a 6.7 percent market share, up 17 percent. Earlier, on January 31, ProSiebenSat.1 Puls 4 addressed the challenge of "Fake News and AI Slop" and the rise of disinformation, acknowledging how social media and artificial intelligence have significantly changed news consumption. Previously, on January 26, "Farmer Seeks Woman" aired an episode depicting young winemaker Lisa experiencing emotional moments during a party on the Achensee.
