On Monday, Robi Axiata PLC received the BBR Corporate Award 2025 in the telecommunications category for its performance and contribution to the sector. The award was presented at the Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View to Md Iftekharul Alam, senior regional head (Chattogram North). Separately, the award was also presented at the "The Future of Business: Innovation Technology and Sustainability" international conference, organized by the Bureau of Business Research (BBR) at the University of Chittagong's Faculty of Business Administration. Meanwhile, Axentec PLC, a subsidiary of Robi Axiata PLC, signed an agreement with the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) on Sunday to conduct a feasibility study for 5G-based smart port services. This study will assess the use of Robi's 5G technology to automate port operations. Robi Axiata PLC also reported second-quarter and six-month earnings results for the period ended June 30, 2025, reporting sales of BDT 25,548.09 million, compared to BDT 26,039.62 million during the same period a year prior.
