Tencent Cloud announced a $150 million investment to establish its first Middle East cloud region in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, aiming to make the Kingdom its primary hub for the region. This was revealed at the Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Summit 2025 in Shenzhen. On September 16-17, 2025, the company held the Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference, where Tencent Cloud outlined its strategic focus on building "intelligent" and "globalization" engines. Also at the summit, Tencent Cloud International signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with StoneLink Limited to collaborate on compliant digital infrastructure and related technology services. Separately, Tencent Cloud integrated its AI assistant, Tencent Yuanbao, into WeChat official account and video channel comment sections, expanding its previous integration into WeChat friend lists. Finally, a strategic partnership formed between Tencent Cloud and EIR Technology will focus on cloud computing applications and solutions for healthcare and eldercare.
