In 2016, Sony Pictures Networks India acquired the channels, merging them with its existing sports channels in 2017 under the Sony Pictures Sports Network banner. A further rebranding to Sony Sports Network occurred in October 2022. As of 2023, the company, headquartered in India and ultimately owned by Sony Group through Culver Max Entertainment, employs approximately 130 people.
