South Australian National Football League, also known as SANFL, is a privately owned entity headquartered in Australia. Founded in 1877, the organization employs approximately 190 individuals. Its main product involves contact sports. The company serves as South Australia's governing body for Australian rules football. Originally formed as the South Australian Football Association on 30 April 1877, it is the oldest surviving football league of any code in Australia and the 7th oldest club football league in the world.
On July 23, the Hostplus SANFLW League announced the Woodville-West Torrens teams for Round 12. Previously, on July 20, SANFL released the 2026 South Australian Country team, which will confront Western Australia Country on July 25 at Barossa Park in an annual men’s State country clash. Earlier, on July 16, the league also revealed the South Adelaide teams for Round 11 of the Hostplus SANFLW League. This followed the recognition on July 14 of Glenelg defender Brad McCarthy, who marked his 100th Hostplus SANFL League game, a career milestone for a player who has featured in five premierships across various grades for the Tigers and overcame an almost career-ending halt in 2022. The week prior, on July 12, North Adelaide secured a 57-point victory over Port Adelaide at Revo Fitness Oval during Round 14 of the Hostplus SANFL League, a win that kept its finals hopes active.
