The South Australian National Football League (SANFL), a privately owned organization headquartered in Australia, is the governing body for Australian rules football in South Australia. Founded in 1877 as the South Australian Football Association, it is the oldest continuously operating Australian rules football league and ranks among the seven oldest club football leagues globally. As of 2023, the SANFL employs approximately 190 people and its primary activity is the organization and administration of spectator sports.
