Employing approximately 490 people, the company is primarily known for its Football Manager series of computer games. While independently founded, SI was acquired by Sega, a Japanese video game publisher, in 2006 and operates as part of Sega Europe.
Sports Interactive and Sega announced Football Manager 26, featuring improved match-day graphics, a revised user interface, and a full Premier League license. A teaser trailer showcased the updated in-game visuals resulting from the franchise's transition to the Unity Engine. The company also confirmed a continued sponsorship agreement with the Dons, with Football Manager branding appearing on their home shirts. While details remain scarce regarding Football Manager 26, Sports Interactive cancelled Football Manager 2025 to pursue a "groundbreaking" platform for clubs to sign players.
