Taiwan Public Television Service Foundation, also known as PTS and Public Television Service, is a privately owned entity headquartered in Taiwan. On May 7, 2026, Public Television Service (PTS) Chairperson Hu Yuan-hui was asked to leave a legislative committee meeting, escalating a standoff between the main opposition Kuomintang (KMT) and the Ministry of Culture (MOC). KMT Legislator Lo Chih-chiang requested Hu's departure from the Education and Culture Committee session, stating that Hu's term as PTS chair had concluded in May 2025.
