TransPerfect acquired two France-based Technicolor Group studios, MPC and The Mill, on April 14, 2025. Following sustained financial difficulties, Technicolor Creative Studios UK appointed administrators, resulting in over 400 redundancies. The Paris Commercial Court subsequently issued a decision regarding several acquisition offers impacting the Group’s French subsidiaries. These events follow the closure of Glassworks, The Mill, and MPC, all formerly part of the Technicolor Group, amidst rising costs and tighter margins within the UK post-production and VFX industry. ENVY Group and Halo, two independent players, have opted for collaboration in response to these industry challenges.
