Telia Sweden, also known as Telia Sverige, is a privately owned company headquartered in Sweden. Transtema signed a service and maintenance agreement with Telia for fixed and mobile networks in Sweden on August 17, 2026. The contract carries a potential order value of about 900 million kronor over an initial three-year term, takes effect at the end of 2026, and replaces an existing agreement. This followed an August 12 report noting Telia, alongside other European telecom operators, highlighted operational efficiencies as a contributor to EBITDA or EBITDA-AL growth in their financial results for the period ended June 30, 2026, as a strategy to improve financial fortunes in a region with challenging revenue growth. On July 22, Telia reported adding 27,000 TV customers in Sweden during the quarter to June, bringing its base to 1.258 million, and grew its broadband base by 14,000 to 1.957 million. Previously, on July 20, Telia divested its ACE contact center platform to LeadDesk in a strategic partnership deal. The ACE platform currently serves over 100,000 users in both the private and public sectors across the Nordic region.
