Telia Sweden, also known as Telia Sverige, is a privately owned Swedish telecommunications company founded in 2003. A subsidiary of Telia Company, it provides telecommunications services to the Swedish market. Its consumer television services are branded as Telia. In 2024, the company reported revenues exceeding $1 billion. Its headquarters are located in Sweden.
Telia Cygate, Telia's cybersecurity and cloud service arm, announced a collaboration with Accenture to develop artificial intelligence services. Accenture will provide AI application design, building, and deployment expertise across various sectors, while Telia Cygate will offer infrastructure based on Telia's networks and data centers. Separately, Telia reported a rise in Swedish revenue during the second quarter of the unspecified year to SEK 9.04 billion, a 2.7 percent increase year-over-year. Service revenue also increased to SEK 7.93 billion, and adjusted EBITDA grew to SEK 3.60 billion. In a different announcement, Telia, along with Ericsson, announced a collaboration with the Swedish Armed Forces to explore 5G technology's potential for national defense and NATO operations, focusing on improved communication, positioning, and connectivity. This initiative utilizes the Northstar 5G innovation program, established in 2023 by Ericsson and Telia, with the Swedish Armed Forces testing the program's 5G Standalone network.
