Yospace, privately owned and headquartered in the UK, is a subsidiary of RTL Group following its acquisition in 2019. Founded in 1999, with approximately 60 employees, the company reported $27.3M in revenue as of 2024 and functions as a tier 2 media tech buyer. It specializes in video processing and playout, developing Dynamic Ad Insertion solutions for live OTT streams. Yospace launched a SaaS version of its video platform, yospaceCDS, in 2008, initially aimed at publishers and news agencies entering the online video market. It expanded to reach television broadcasters and networks and service providers, now focusing on live stream manipulation, management and monetisation.
On April 26, 2026, Yospace participated in an Industry Insights roundtable, addressing the evolving economics of ad-supported streaming and exploring how factors like growing inventory, increased competition, and changing advertiser expectations are reshaping FAST and CTV monetization. Earlier, on April 13, 2026, Yospace announced plans to demonstrate Server-Guided Ad Insertion (SGAI) with Castlabs at NAB Show 2026. This demonstration will showcase SGAI using MPEG-DASH Events and HLS Interstitials, featuring the squeezeback ad, one of the latest non-linear ad formats from the IAB Ad Format Hero project. Concurrently, Yospace recorded 11.6 billion one-to-one addressable ads stitched in a single calendar month, surpassing the 10 billion mark. This achievement represented a 35% year-over-year increase from typical volumes of around 9 billion, primarily driven by a dense global sports calendar across Europe, APAC, and the Americas.
Yospace's customers primarily consist of telecoms companies. Examples of Yospace's customers include Rogers Communications, Telenor and Deutsche Telekom. Yospace has commercial and technical partners like Google, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Accenture.
