Tele2 AB (publ) is a publicly owned Swedish telecommunications company founded in 1996 and headquartered in Stockholm. As of 2020, it employed approximately 5,390 people and reported revenues of less than $10 million. While it offers various telecommunications services, its main product is pay TV.
Goldman Sachs issued a “buy” rating for Tele2 on 2024, while also rating BT, Telia, and Elisa as “buy” and Swisscom and Vodafone as “sell”. Separately, Kepler Cheuvreux reported that Tele2 may be considering an acquisition of GlobalConnect, a Nordic broadband and data center operator. Ucell, an Uzbek mobile operator, introduced a new roaming option allowing subscribers on its Bor tariff plan to use mobile data bundles on Tele2's network in Russia. This builds on existing roaming agreements with Megafon, Megafon Tajikistan, Tele2 Kazakhstan, and Megacom in Kyrgyzstan.
