Axel Springer SE reached an agreement on March 5, 2026, to acquire Telegraph Media Group Limited from RedBird IMI, a fund managed by Redbird Capital Partners Management LLC and others, for approximately £580 million, including a cash consideration of £575 million. LionTree acted as financial advisor and Freshfields as legal advisor to Axel Springer, with the transaction subject to UK Government approvals.
